1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website of GBLaw – Law Firm (“GBLaw” or the “Firm”).

By accessing the website, users acknowledge these Terms. Simply visiting the website does not, in itself, create a contract or establish a lawyer-client relationship.

2. General information and no legal advice

The contents of this website are for general information only. They do not constitute legal advice, a professional opinion or a recommendation relating to any specific situation, and they are not a substitute for an individual assessment of a matter.

The information published may not be complete, current or applicable to a particular case. Appropriate advice should be obtained before making decisions or taking action on the basis of the website’s contents.

3. No automatic acceptance of a mandate

Sending a message, enquiry or document does not constitute acceptance of a mandate and does not automatically establish an attorney-client relationship.

A mandate is accepted only after the Firm has expressly confirmed its acceptance and completed any necessary conflict-of-interest checks.

Before such confirmation, users should not send particularly confidential information or documents. The Firm cannot guarantee that information sent before acceptance of a mandate will be protected by professional secrecy to the same extent as information received under a duly established mandate.

4. Accuracy, availability and updates

GBLaw takes reasonable care in preparing the website’s contents. It does not, however, warrant that the information will at all times be complete, error-free or current, or that the website will be available without interruption, delay, malfunction or harmful components.

The Firm may amend, suspend or remove any content or functionality at any time.

5. Electronic communications

Internet and email communications may be intercepted, altered, delayed, incomplete or delivered to the wrong recipient. A user who communicates with the Firm by ordinary email accepts the risks normally associated with that medium unless another communication channel has been agreed.

The Firm does not warrant that electronic messages will be received or read within any particular period. Urgent communications should be confirmed by telephone.

6. Third-party links and services

The website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Such links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement, control or acceptance of responsibility by GBLaw.

The Firm is not responsible for the content, availability, security or data-processing practices of external websites and services. Users access them at their own risk and subject to the respective operator’s terms.

7. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s contents, including its texts, structure, graphic elements, logos, photographs and other materials, are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

This exclusion does not apply where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law.

Subject to any mandatory jurisdiction provided by applicable law, the courts of Lugano shall have jurisdiction over disputes relating to the use of the website.

11. Amendments

GBLaw may amend these Terms at any time. The version published on the website at the time of access shall apply.
